The Eucharist

They [Christ's faithful] should be instructed by God's word and be nourished at the table of the lord's body; they should give thanks to God; by offering the Immaculate Victim, not only through the hands of the priest, but also with him, they should learn aslo to offer themselves; through Christ the Mediator, they should be drawn day by day into ever move perfect union with God and with each other, so that finally God may be all in all. (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, S48)

The daily community Mass or Eucharist is the high point of the monk's day. At the Abbey of the Holy Trinity the Eucharist follows Lauds each morning, and on most days it is sung.

Retreatants and guests are invited to participate in the Mass, and if they are Catholics, they are invited to receive Communion as well.
